To support the King Day of Service, the Corporation for National and Community Service, in consultation with the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change provides grants to public and non-profit organizations to mobilize Americans to observe the Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday as a day of service to others. It's a day on, not a day off. To support MLK Day of Service as 'A Day ON, Not a Day Off', the Corporation for National Service and the King Center provides grants to observe the holiday as a day of service.
