The JKMRC is an internationally renowned postgraduate research and technology transfer centre in the University of Queensland. Postgraduate research school and consulting organisation in the University of Queensland. It works closely with the mining industry in Australia and overseas to develop and apply new knowledge in mining, and in mineral and coal processing. It has for many years been a world leader in the application of modelling and computer simulation to mineral process design and optimisation, and in the monitoring, design and optimisation of blasting operations.
